UGG Chronicles Ep. 208 | “Tere Bina” Guitar Cover There’s something very magical about the vocals in this song. I was looking to cover something to get used to the sheer size of the doubleneck, and this song, with the sitar-sounding solo was the perfect thing! It was a blast trying to figure this out by ear, and this is perhaps one of the songs (after a long time) which I really played over and over again, just jamming.. kinda reminded why I even stared this in the first place This was recorded ~Dec ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 207 | Sleep Token - Gethsemane Guitar Cover The album “Even in Arcadia” was definitely one of my most played this year. It’s so refreshingly different! I remember the first time hearing Gethsemane and being blown away by the math-rock guitar part.. this is my best attempt at it haha. Fat from perfect, but I wanted to record this for posterity. UGG Chronicles Ep. 206 | Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag Guitar Cover This was something that I’d just come across and it sounded so cool. Was fun to figure out by ear, and it’s after a while that I found a pop/punk track that reminded me of why I even started playing the instrument haha. This was recorded ~Nov ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 205 | Audioslave - Cochise Guitar Cover This was a fun one to figure out by ear! This is def one of those tracks where getting the timing right is super imp (and difficult), I could see a LOT of difference between my first take and thos. Could’ve practiced it more to get the timing perfect, but I’m human afterall. This was recorded ~Oct ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 204 | Doubleneck Noodles This is perhaps one of the most impulsive things that I’ve done, and I absolutely love it. It’d been a pipeline dream of mine for a while, but when I got to know that EDS1275 series got reintroduced, I just went for it! Still getting used to the massive size, but it’s a really nice guitar to play! This was recorded ~Sept ’25

There’s some really good jazz to be found in the Indian music scene, and this is a prime example of a popular one. I recall playing this with Octavium way back when as well, and the bassline was so nice that I had to re-learn it! This was recorded ~Sept ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 202 | Living Colour - Cult of Personality Guitar Cover I remember hearing this song on GTA San Andreas, and this is sooo energetic! Getting the riff clean was quite a challenge (and I didn’t even attempt the solo lol), but it’s really fun to play along with. I had to really “up my guitar game” with this one, and you can see the hiccups here and there, but I like it, it’s human. This was recorded ~Aug ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 201 | RHCP - Under The Bridge Guitar Cover There’s something really hard about covering a relatively-simple-hendrixy-vibe song like this.. the dynamics and timing are the crux of it really. Nevertheless, an amazing song to jam along to! This was recorded ~Aug ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 200 | Phoebe Bridgers - Waiting Room Guitar Cover Number 200! I originally thought of doing a crowdpleaser, or an old throwback, but something about this song stuck out to me, and after jamming along to it for a couple of days (and after a couple of months of listening to it), it just seemed right, and also a nice end to a rather nice day! This was recorded ~July ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 199 | Santana - Oye Como Va, Guitar Jam I def need more latin music in my life. I’ve been listening to Santana’s poppy stuff for a while now, and recently delved into more latin-y stuff, and this for me is the perfect thing to up my guitar-game, without feeling completely out of my depth (like I do with the metal stuff really).. and more than that, it’s really fun to just jam along to! UGG Chronicles Ep. 197 | Green Day - Give me Novacaine, Guitar Cover After a rather lengthy 3 weeks, this song was really nice to come back to. Super straightforward (plus, it really helps if you’ve been listening to this for more than a decade). This was recorded ~June ’25

I have been immensely grateful to be able to get these things, and make some good memories along the way!! This was recorded ~May ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 194 | Santana - Smooth, Guitar Cover/Improv It’s after a while that I got hooked on to something which is akin to what I play, and omg Santana is such a vibe. Have legit been listening to him for more than a decade and I finally feel comfortable enough (and got around to) learning the style.. and the PRS here is the cherry on top of the cake!! I’d initially planned to cover the whole thing (and did a few takes of that as well), but this particular improv just flowed, and I think this is the best representation of the song. UGG Chronicles Ep. 193 | Cory Wong - Hiding On The Moon Bass Cover I’d actually recorded this a couple months back, but didn’t end up uploading this cause I was getting conscious of my hair (or lack thereof really).. but you know what, in the long run, this doesn’t really matter. This is how I was in that moment in time, and I don’t have to be ashamed of it, esp with this amazing a song!! This was recorded ~Mar ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 192 | Sleep Token - Damocles, Guitar Cover It’s rare that I get obsessed over something I just discovered, but this is definitely it. There’s just something so melancholic about this, and so apt in this moment of time in my life that I had to cover this. Not sure if this will ever get read by a human, esp me later on, but it’s been 5 years of me starting UGG, and being as consistent with it as I can, and yet in this moment in time, I find myself not in a very different situation than what I was in when I started this whole thing.. uncertainty. It came up in a conversation I was in today, which in itself was perhaps a highlight of this year.. and the sunlight coming in at that moment after a long day of rain was soooooo nice!! UGG Chronicles Ep. 190 | Salt & Sand, Ukulele Improv Yes, I know this is riddled with mistakes.. but it was fun trying to feel this out by ear! I think this ukulele holds the record of being the instrument whose strings have never been changed, lol This was recorded ~Apr ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 189 | Audioslave - Show Me How To Live Guitar Cover After years of jamming to this one, I finally sat down and got these parts by ear. I think the groove-metal-esqe fills in the chorus fit in nicely! Could’ve worked more on the solo, but I just decided to wing it. Gotta up my improv game now haha. This was recorded ~Mar ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 186 | August Burns Red - Meddler Guitar Cover This was a tough one to learn (and even more weird to play on the 7-string with the huge neck), but it was a fun one to jam to. I kept all mistakes in there for posterity. Didn’t really get around to do a lot of UGG this month, but got the chance to jam a couple of times here and there. This was recorded ~Feb ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 185 | Belinda Carlisle - Heaven Is a Place on Earth, Bass Cover I came across this song on (perhaps the most optimistic) episode of Black Mirror, and this was on my list for a while. Really fun groove to play for sure! This was recorded ~Jan ’25

UGG Chronicles Ep. 184 | Phineas and Ferb - Truck Drivin’ Girl Guitar Cover This one takes me right back to my childhood. I must have spent legit hours listening to this track, and I finally am decent enough to cover it (rather, try my best, cause that tele county stuff is proper UGG). Putting the tele to what it was made for haha. Yes, this video has tonnes of mistakes, and yes it was a blast to learn and cover as well! This was recorded ~Jan ’25
